How to order
From a room you want to fill to a table in it
Six steps. None of them are complicated, but one of them matters more than the rest, and it is the notes box at checkout.
- 01
Do not see what you want? Call first.
The catalog is a starting point, not a limit. If the style you have in mind is not on the site, get in touch before you order anything else. Call or text 972-837-6974, or send a custom inquiry. Almost everything we build started as somebody describing it over the phone.
- 02
Make your choices
Every piece is configured, not picked off a shelf. Here is everything you will be asked.
- Length
- 5 to 10 feet. Measure the room, then leave at least three feet of clearance on every side you want to walk behind a pulled-out chair.
- Width
- 36 inches is standard. Wider is available for an upcharge, and worth it if you serve family style and want a centre lane for dishes.
- Top stain
- The colour of the surface people see. Darker stains sink into red oak beautifully; maple prefers light and natural.
- Bottom finish
- The base can match the top or contrast with it. Paint-and-stain combinations are a standard build; fully stained is sometimes an upcharge.
- Knot preference
- Knotty for character, or cleaner stock if you want an even field. Say which way you lean, because we cannot read it off the order otherwise.
- Wood species
- Red oak, black walnut, or hard maple as standard. Other species can be milled on request because we run our own sawmill.
- Table top choice
- Board layout and edge treatment: breadboard ends, live edge, band sawn texture. This is the decision that changes the look the most.
Not sure which way to go on any of these? Read the wood selection page, or call and let a design consultant talk it through with you.

Put every special request in the checkout notes
This is the step people skip, and it is the one that causes every problem. Anything you discussed with us by phone, by text, or on social media must be written into the notes at checkout.
The notes field is what the shop builds from. A conversation from three weeks ago is not attached to your order unless you attach it. Height, overhang, a specific stain we discussed, which end the breadboard goes on. Write it down.

Check out
Placing the order charges nothing. We confirm the build with you and arrange payment when we call: pay in full or put down a 50% deposit.
A representative will confirm the order with you before anything is cut. Changes must be requested within 48 hours of placing the order. After that, the lumber is usually already selected and they will be declined.
All sales are final, including deposits. The refund policy says so plainly, and we would rather you read it now than later.
- 06
Get ready to receive it
Build time runs 4–10 weeks, and that is an estimate rather than a promise. Before production starts we call to confirm the details and check you are ready. Once that is confirmed we cannot hold or store the piece.
- Measure the narrowest point on the route in: doorways, hallways, stair turns.
- Clear the room and have help on hand for the day it lands.
- If it is coming by freight, inspect it and note any damage on the slip before you sign.
- If you are picking up, bring a trailer, straps, and moving blankets.
