Three ways it gets to you, and what each one asks of you
Furniture is heavy, awkward, and finished. Read the option you are choosing all the way through, because the responsibilities are different for each one.
Option one
Curbside freight
48 contiguous states
- Timing
- Ships when the build is done, currently 4–10 weeks from the date you order, then 3 to 7 business days in transit once it is on the truck.
- Where it stops
- At the curb. The driver is not coming inside, up steps, or around the back.
- You handle
- Unloading, uncrating, and assembly. Have a second set of hands there and somewhere to put the crate.
- Surcharge
- An extra $150 for deliveries into New York City.
Option two
Inside local delivery
Texas only
- Timing
- Scheduled when the build is done, currently 4–10 weeks from the date you order.
- Where it stops
- Inside placement, ground floor only. We set it where you want it on that level.
- Not included
- Anything that mounts to a wall or ceiling: porch swings, hanging shelving, and the like. We deliver those, we do not install them.
- Cost
- $250 within a 30 mile radius of the shop, then $4.25 per mile beyond that.
Option three
Pickup at the shop
Wolfe City, TX
- Bring
- A trailer, or multiple vehicles for a table and its chairs. Straps and moving blankets are on you. A bare tie-down on a finished top will mark it.
- Window
- Pickup within 14 days of completion. We do not have the floor space to keep it longer.
- Where
- 4882 CR 3735, Wolfe City, TX 75496. Directions and hours.
- Cost
- Free. Bring coffee if you are feeling generous.
The one thing you must not skip
Inspect it before you sign the delivery slip.
Freight moves through several hands between our shop and your driveway. Walk the whole piece before the driver leaves. Look at corners, edges, legs, and the top.
If anything is damaged, note it on the delivery slip before you sign. Photograph it while the truck is still there. A signed clean slip is the freight carrier’s proof that it arrived perfect, and once it is signed there is very little anyone can do.
Before production starts
We contact you before we begin building to confirm the details and check that you are ready to receive it. That call is your last easy chance to move a date.
Once confirmed, we cannot hold or store your furniture. The shop floor is a working floor, not a warehouse.
Measure your doorways
You are responsible for verifying the piece fits through your doorways, hallways, and stairwells. Measure the narrowest point on the route, and remember a table can go through on its side.
A delivery cannot be refused at the door for size. If you are unsure, send us the measurements before we build and we will tell you whether it works.
