Privacy policy
We keep what we need to build your table, and nothing more.
This page says exactly what we collect when you visit sawwwmill.com, ask a question, or place an order, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to have it changed or deleted. It is written to be read, not scrolled past.
Effective October 20, 2026
The short version
Six things, plainly
- We collect what you type
- Your name, email, phone, delivery address, and whatever you write in a form. We do not ask for anything else, and there are no customer accounts or passwords.
- We never sell it
- No selling, renting, or trading of your details. No advertising networks, no marketing lists, no tracking pixels from social networks.
- We only contact you about your own inquiry or order
- There is no newsletter. Every email, call, or text from us follows from something you started: a question, a quote, or a build.
- A few services help us run the site
- Microsoft hosts it, Postmark sends our emails, Cloudflare checks that forms come from people, Neutrino screens for spam, and Google provides analytics and the map. Each one is named below.
- Two people read your messages
- Daniel and Owen. The developer who maintains the site for us can see the same records and is bound to keep them confidential.
- Ask, and we will show, fix, or delete it
- Email hello@sawwwmill.com or call the shop. We answer within 30 days, and usually the same week.
01Who we are and what this covers
Signs & Wonders Sawmill & Woodworking is a family-run sawmill and woodshop at 4882 CR 3735, Wolfe City, TX 75496. When this page says “we”, it means the shop and the two people who run it, Daniel and Owen.
This policy covers sawwwmill.com and the emails, phone calls, and text messages that follow from using it. It does not cover our Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube pages. Those companies handle what you do there under their own policies.
02What we collect, and when
We collect information in five situations. In every one, you are the one handing it over.
- When you send an inquiry. The forms for custom work, product quotes, trade pricing, reviews, and showroom visits ask for your name, email, and message. Phone number is optional. We also record which form you used.
- When you place an order. Checkout asks for your name, email, phone number, how you want the piece delivered, and, for delivery, the street address. It records what you ordered, the options you picked, the prices shown, and anything you wrote in the notes.
- When we talk. Dimensions, stain, dates, and decisions from phone calls, texts, and emails go on your build sheet, together with the order.
- When you send photos. Pictures of your trees, your room, or your finished piece stay with your order. We do not publish them without asking you first.
- While you browse. Google Analytics and our hosting provider record the usual technical details: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the site you came from, and approximate location by city. The sections on analytics and cookies explain this.
Payment. We do not take payment on this site. You never type a card number here. When we arrange payment with you, it goes through the payment provider we agree on, and that provider, not this website, handles the card details.
What we do not collect. No customer accounts or passwords, no date of birth, no government ID numbers, no precise GPS location, no biometrics, and nothing from your contacts or social media accounts.
03Where your cart lives
Your cart is stored in your own browser, in local storage, under the name snw-cart-v2. Nothing in it reaches us until you submit the order. While you shop, the site checks the cart’s prices against the shop’s current prices, and that check sends the product and option choices to our server, but no name, email, or address. Clearing your browser data empties the cart.
04How we use it
We use what you give us for these purposes and no others:
- To answer your question or quote your piece.
- To build, finish, deliver, and stand behind what you ordered, including Our Promise warranty work later on.
- To arrange payment with you by phone or email.
- To confirm with you before anything you wrote in a review, or any photo you sent, appears on the site.
- To keep the sales and tax records Texas and federal law require of a business.
- To stop spam, bots, and abuse of the forms and checkout.
- To see, in aggregate, which pages people read and where visitors come from, so we can improve the site.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decisions about you, or anything we have not listed here.
05Spam and fraud screening
A small shop cannot spend its mornings sorting bot traffic, so every form submission is screened in two steps. We want you to know exactly what that means.
- Before you submit. Cloudflare Turnstile runs on every form and at checkout. It reads connection and browser signals to decide whether a person is on the other end, and gives the form a one-time token that our server verifies with Cloudflare along with your IP address.
- After you submit. Our server sends your email address, your phone number, and the IP address of your connection to Neutrino API. Neutrino reports whether the email address exists and whether it is disposable, whether the phone number is valid and what type it is, and which city, region, and network the request came from, including whether it came through a VPN, proxy, or data center.
We turn that into a “Real” to “Fake” rating that only staff see. It is advisory: it never rejects or delays your message, and it is never shown to you. We keep the rating, its reasons, and the city, region, and network name with your inquiry or order. We do not keep the raw IP address once the check is done. If Neutrino is unavailable, your message is saved and answered exactly the same way, marked “Unverified”.
Your IP address is also held in our server’s memory for a few minutes to limit how many submissions one connection can make. It is not written to our database.
08Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read, how long they stay, what device and browser they use, which city they are in, and which site or search brought them here. It loads only on sawwwmill.com, not on our test sites, and it does not know your name.
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have not turned on Google’s advertising features, and we do not link analytics to inquiries or orders. Google keeps the raw usage data for the period set in our account and aggregate reports after that. Google explains its side at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
09Email, calls, and texts
Email. When you send an inquiry or an order, we email you a confirmation from hello@sawwwmill.com, and then we reply in person. After that, every email is about your inquiry, your quote, or your build. There is no newsletter and no marketing list. If you would rather we stop following up on an open inquiry, say so in a reply and we will.
Calls and texts. If you give us a phone number, we use it to confirm the build sheet, arrange payment, and schedule delivery. Daniel and Owen call and text from their own phones. We do not send marketing texts. Standard carrier rates apply, and you can stop texts at any time by replying STOP or telling us.
10Reviews and photos
Reviews on this site come from two places: the review form here, and reviews you left on Google or Facebook, which we show with a note saying where they came from. A review sent through our form is treated as a message to us. We will check with you before publishing any of it, and we show the name and town you gave us, as you gave them. If you would like initials only, say so.
Photos of finished pieces in your home appear on the site only with your okay. Ask at any time and we will take a review or a photo down.
11How long we keep it
- Orders and the conversations behind them. For as long as the piece is covered by Our Promise, and for the years tax law requires a business to keep sales records.
- Inquiries that never become an order. We keep them so we can pick the conversation up when you come back. We do not delete them on a fixed schedule today, we clear old ones from time to time, and we delete yours whenever you ask.
- Screening results. Kept with the inquiry or order they belong to, and deleted with it.
- Emails. Our mailboxes keep our correspondence with you. Postmark keeps its delivery records for a limited time.
- Server logs and rate limits. Server logs are kept by Microsoft for a limited period. The IP address used for rate limiting lives in memory for minutes.
- Analytics. Kept by Google for the retention period set in our account.
12How we protect it
The site runs over HTTPS only. The admin is behind a password that is stored hashed, sign-in attempts are limited, and a staff session ends after 12 hours or when the person signs out. Customer records are classified as confidential in our hosting account, raw IP addresses are not stored, and only Daniel, Owen, and the site’s developer can open the admin.
No system is perfect. If a security incident ever exposes your information, we will tell you, and the authorities where required, within the time Texas law sets.
13Your choices and rights
Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, except for the sales records the law requires us to keep and the build records we need to honour a warranty.
- Stop emailing, calling, or texting you.
- Take down a review or a photo.
How. Email hello@sawwwmill.com from the address we have on file, or call 972-837-6974. We may ask a question or two to make sure it is you. We answer within 30 days, and we will never treat you differently for asking.
Texas, California, and other states. We are a small business below the size at which the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and similar state laws apply. We honour the requests above for everyone anyway, including through an authorised agent. If you believe we have handled a request badly, reply to our answer and say so; you may also contact the Texas Attorney General’s consumer protection office.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. These browser signals ask sites not to sell or share data for advertising. We do neither, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off and the site does not change its behaviour when it sees one. Google Analytics still runs unless you block it with the add-on or a browser setting.
14Children
This site is for adults ordering furniture. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we do not accept orders from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, email hello@sawwwmill.com and we will delete it.
15Visitors outside the United States
We ship within the lower 48 states and the site is built for customers in the United States. Every service named on this page stores information in the United States. If you write to us from another country, your details travel here and are handled under this policy and United States law.
16Links to other sites
The site links to our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages and to Google Maps for directions. Once you follow a link, that company’s privacy policy applies, not this one.
17Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle information, we change this page and the effective date at the top. If a change matters to you and you have an open inquiry or order, we will email you about it. Earlier versions are available on request.
18How to reach us
Questions about any of this go to the people who wrote it.
