About this piece
This Legacy Project began on the Cowley family ranch in East Texas, land the Cowley family has stewarded for four generations. The table was built from a pecan tree harvested from the bottom of their ranch.
The story
- The ranch is still run every day by James Cowley's father, who is over 90 years old.
- We had the honor of meeting him while harvesting the tree.
- James guided the project with deep respect for his family and its legacy.
- From that single pecan tree came a one-of-a-kind table, now in the Cowley family home.
This table is a reminder of generations past, a gathering place for the family today, and a piece meant to carry the Cowley story forward. From your land, for your family, for generations.
Have a tree on your land that means something to your family? We can mill it, dry it, and build it into a piece of your own. Call or text 972-837-6974 to start your own Legacy Project.
