About Irving and Las Colinas
What we see in Irving and Las Colinas houses
Las Colinas and the Urban Center built vertically, and the older parts of Irving are 1960s and 1970s traditional. Between the two you get a market that is half high rise and half mid century, and both halves have space constraints.
High rise and mid rise condominiums around the canals, townhomes, and established single family neighborhoods with the room sizes of their era.
How our work fits
Building for a Irving and Las Colinas room specifically
The same table is right in one house and wrong in the next. This is what we change, and why.
In a high rise the constraint is not the room, it is the route: the loading dock hours, the service elevator interior, the turn out of the elevator lobby, and the apartment door. We ask about all of it before we build, and when the numbers do not work we build the top with a joint or the base to knock down. Nobody has ever been happy to discover that problem on delivery day, so we find it at quote time instead.
Knock down bases
For pieces that have to make a service elevator turn.
Compact tops for condo dining
Sized to the room you actually have.
Bar height tops
For the kitchen and living combinations in the towers.
Worth asking in Irving and Las Colinas
Is there a tree on the property?
If one came down in a storm, or one is coming out for a pool or an addition, we would rather look at the log than hear it went to the chipper. Bring it to our mill and we saw it, dry it in our kiln, and build it into the piece for the house it grew beside. Send us a photo first and we will tell you if there is a table in it.

Send dimensions and a photo of the space. You will get a straight answer from one of the two people who would build it, not a quote generator.
