About Plano
What we see in Plano houses
Plano is the part of the metroplex where corporate relocations land. A lot of the furniture in Plano houses was bought in a hurry during a move, and the first piece people replace once they settle is the dining table.
Late 1980s through 2000s brick traditional across most of the city, with big two story entries and open kitchen and breakfast combinations, plus newer high density construction around Legacy West.
How our work fits
Building for a Plano room specifically
The same table is right in one house and wrong in the next. This is what we change, and why.
The classic Plano problem is a breakfast area that is too big for a small table and too small for a real one, usually with a bay window eating the corner. A round or oval top solves that room better than a rectangle, because it keeps the traffic lane to the back door open and puts everybody in the conversation. For the Legacy West apartments and townhomes we build to the freight elevator and use lighter species so the piece does not swallow the room.

If one came down in a storm, or one is coming out for a pool or an addition, we would rather look at the log than hear it went to the chipper. Bring it to our mill and we saw it, dry it in our kiln, and build it into the piece for the house it grew beside. Send us a photo first and we will tell you if there is a table in it.
